The Main Street Lamppost Banner Program transforms our downtown into a vibrant, outdoor gallery honoring the people, milestones, and traditions that define who we are — past, present, and future.
Through a seasonal rotation of storytelling and art, our Main Street becomes a living showcase of all that makes our community special.
Our inaugural installation honors veterans & the America 250th celebration & the Deep River Ancient Muster
Themes and banner imagery will be an evolving and ongoing process of thoughtful collaboration between local stakeholder groups and committees.

SPONSOR A LAMPPOST!
By sponsoring a lamppost for a year, you help recognize the individuals, moments, and seasons that make our community special — while creating a lasting visual tribute along Main Street.
There are 32 lampposts available for annual sponsorships as part of our inaugural installation in June of 2026. These sponsorships will be on a first come first serve basis and will include four seasonal banner changes over a twelve-month period. Sponsors will be recognized on each lamppost and have the opportunity to renew each year. We encourage both residents and businesses to support this exciting program!

The Artwork:
CELEBRATORY THEMES
Rotating banner themes will celebrate everything from local heroes to annual events and more...the possibilities are endless. In many cases, the banners will be carefully stored and installed again throughout time. Any “one and done” banners will be auctioned off to further generate funds for future Main Street Visionary projects.
The Vision:
TOWN PRIDE
By celebrating our local traditions, past accomplishments, and seasonal beauty of our town, the banner program will evoke a sense of pride among residents & businesses alike. Projects like this will serve as catalysts for economic and aesthetic improvements for a stronger Deep River.
EDUCATION
There will be ongoing opportunities to provide learning experiences for all ages with both historical and current events and hometown heroes. Creating awareness of Deep River’s past and present will encourage a greater engagement of our community members.
SEASONAL ROTATION
A rotating gallery of seasonal artwork will complement our storytelling images, keeping displays fresh while delivering long-term value and ensuring a sustainable program through reusable banners.
BEAUTIFICATION
By enhancing our traditional lampposts that line our brick sidewalks, the addition of banners will increase the appeal of our downtown, making it a more attractive and vibrant place to live, work, and visit.
LOCAL SAFETY
Through thoughtful storytelling and beautiful artwork, we hope to slow vehicular traffic through our downtown to create a safer and enhanced pedestrian experience.
